A booming party is one where everyone has fun, and this applies whether you are 9 or 90. Nevertheless holding a fun party for adults is a bit more challenging than a children's party. Yes you can do the usual dips, finger food, drinks and let everyone entertain themselves or you can go all out and support a themed party that your friends will be talking about for ages.
Holding a themed party is more succeed than the garden variety party of color coordinated decorations, drinks and nibbles. And yes I know a lot of these parties can be fun too but the usual kind of party is pretty much the same as any other party, so the random access memory of the event does not stand out. A themed party on the other hand is very memorable. Themed parties can be as simple and as complicated as you choose. One idea for a simple theme is a hat party. Guests are required to use a hat of their own design and their creations are entertainingly described to the rest of the guests within a hat parade during the party. Send invitations in the shape of a hat or print invitations with several hat photos to inspire your guests creativity. The hat party theme can be readily adapted to help different occasions such as a bridal shower, kitchen tea, 30, 40 or 50th party. Decorations could be quite simply made if your on a budget. I suggest garlands of different hat shapes cut out off colored cardstock, decorated and strung on to sting. Or scour thrift shops for interesting and or colorful less difficult to decorate the room. Another source of ideas for theme parties are your favorite movies or TV selection. You could have a Big Bang Theory Party, a Grey's Anatomy or How I Met Your Mother Party. There is absolutely no shortage of movies for theme ideas either. Does a Lord of The Rings, Transformers, Mean Young girls or Burlesque Party get your imagination ticking over. It can be a good idea to have the theme of the party as whatever the guest of honor enjoys. If the guest of honor likes cars for instance, you could have a Strategy 1 party. If they have a favorite group or singer you could have a Michael Buble, Foofighters or Madonna Party. The possible ideas for party themes are really only limited by your imagination. Once you have decided on a pattern it is important to carry the theme through as many aspects of the party as possible. From the invitations and decorations to your food you will serve and what you will do to entertain your guests. Use your imagination to come up with exciting ways to present the invitation. For a music themed party you could write with permanent marker on aged CD's or DVD's. Even buying some very cheap blank CD's would be no more expensive than some report invitations. Decorations can be purchased from party suppliers, but I find it more fun to make my own. We once kept a "Big Fat Greek Party", we found a large white sheet at the thrift store and colored it to be a Greek flag. We made Greek columns out of cardboard and put them against the discussions of our outdoor area. Downloaded some Greek music and played it in the background. Our guests got their own "Greek" on, it was really interesting to see the costume ideas that people came up with. We did Greek dance, everyone had a portrait taken in front of the Greek flag and we feasted on Greek foodstuff. Overall a really great night. Following the theme with the food also helps to keep the mood going. Although for many themes there may be no particular type of food, in most cases I'm sure you'll be able to serve your guests something in keeping with ones theme. Click here Champagnekniv Now you have sent the invitations, planned the decorations and what food your going to help, it's a great idea to come up with some activities to break the ice and really get the fun started. Activities can be as very simple as a theme based trivia quiz to more physical activities like learning a dance style. Again visualization is the key, its often possible to adapt well known party games to suit your theme and the average grow old of your guests. While is can a be a bit more effort to hold a theme party, I'm sure you'll find any additional planning and time it takes to put the party together are well worth the effort for a really memorable occasion.

There are actually so many little girls out there who absolutely love being tea party hostesses. So , rather than throwing a traditional tea leaf party, why not incorporate Fancy Nancy party supplies into these tea party plans and preparations?
A lot of these party decorations don't need to be limited to just birthday parties, or Halloween parties. Just because there are costumes included, that doesn't mean it won't work for a tea party. Think about how Fancy Nancy dresses, and you'll agree with people that it's perfect for a tea party. Fancy Nancy is a little girl who loves to dress fancy and employ big words. You and your daughter can create your own Fancy Nancy invitations. Inside the invitations, write something like the following: Ooh la la. (your daughter's name) is having a Soiree. As Nancy would say, "That's some sort of fancy word for party". Dress in your fanciest attire and join her for a fabulous tea get together fit for a Queen. Your colors for this theme are going to be hot pink and purple (Nancy's favorite color). Tie hot pink, white, and purple balloons on the mailbox to alert your guest as to the location where the party is located. When shopping for Fancy Nancy party supplies, add in some other elements to help make this tea social gathering memorable and unique. Rather than handing out traditional goodie bags, consider picking up mini cardboard purses and responding to their them with goodies. Rather than using a plain white disposable tablecloth, pick up a piece of floral fabric or work with a floral sheet as the tablecloth instead. Consider picking up a few linen napkins, too, for added party enchantment. These are frequently on clearance at stores like Pier 1 Imports, Kohl's, and Walmart. Sometimes you should do a little digging, though, to find the really good bargains. Don't be afraid to really hunt around! On the invitations, ask that each one the guests attend wearing Fancy Nancy type costumes, or with at least a floppy hat and a few linen gloves. If you have some of these things in your dress up trunk or Halloween costume stash, put them out on that couch for guests to pick from and play with. That way, if someone doesn't show up with a costume and forgets, they won't feel left out. If it's okay with the parents of the guests, ask ahead of time if the girls may well play with some make up and nail polish as well. If so, set these things out on a separate table using mirrors, tissues, costume jewelry, hair brushes, and combs. Setting up your tea party with the Fancy Nancy party supplies and decorations is going to be a team effort. This is particularly true if you're throwing an afternoon special event. Break out some of your sparkly Christmas decorations, like the beaded or sliver garland that would easily couple since another type of party decoration. String up white lights throughout the party area, as well as the garland. If this bash is thrown in the spring, walk through your yard (if you have one) and pick wild roses (dandelions count, so don't let anyone tell you otherwise) and arrange them in champagne glasses throughout the bench where the tea party's food is placed. The rest of the Fancy Nancy party supplies can be featured on the main foodstuff table, as well as throughout the rest of the party area. Consider setting out two or three disposable cameras so the guests can take graphics of each other throughout the entire event. Don't forget to use your own camera, as well as a video camera to capture these fantastic memories. Consider picking up Fancy Nancy and tea party themed scrapbook supplies to create a memory book, scrapbooking, or embellished photo album after all the pictures are developed following the party. |
